Verbano-Cusio-Ossola police issue warnings to seven individuals

The Police Commissioner of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola has issued seven oral warnings to residents deemed socially dangerous. These administrative measures serve as an initial step in a preventive system designed to encourage individuals to change their behavior; failure to comply can lead to more restrictive legal measures, including requests for special surveillance by the judiciary.

The Anti-Crime Division issued these warnings following an analysis of recent reports of violent crimes, drug trafficking, extortion, and previous criminal records. The recipients include individuals from Verbania, Baveno, and the Ossola Valley.

Specific cases include two youths from Verbania previously arrested for an attempted robbery in Laveno Mombello, a 58-year-old man reported for illegal possession of weapons, and a 59-year-old in Baveno cited for resisting public officials while intoxicated. In the lower Val d'Ossola, a 45-year-old was flagged following an arrest for drug possession and involvement in illegal waste disposal.
