Verbeke Foundation acquires Jan Doms' art collection

A significant portion of Jan Doms’ collection was moved to the Verbeke Foundation, a private modern art museum located in Stekene, Belgium, in late 2024. The collection is displayed both indoors and across an expansive outdoor landscape where artists can also work.

Among the notable pieces is Doms’ twelve-meter-long steel and glass train wagon, originally created in 1999. After the Tilburg municipal government showed no interest in incorporating the piece into the Spoorzone development, the wagon was eventually included in the permanent collection of the Verbeke Foundation.
