Verbund AG appoints Stefan Waldner as Chief Financial Officer
Verbund AG has appointed Stefan Waldner as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The 49-year-old Waldner succeeds Peter Kollmann, who stepped down from his board mandate at the end of August 2026.
Waldner joins Verbund from OMV, where he currently serves as Senior Vice President in the finance department. He brings over 20 years of experience in the international energy industry, including previous roles as CFO of OMV Petrol Ofisi in Turkey and CFO and board member of OMV Petrom in Romania. His expertise spans financing, capital markets, and M&A.
The appointment is for an initial term of two years, with an option to extend for an additional two years. Until Waldner officially assumes his duties, CEO Michael Strugl will continue to manage financial matters on an interim basis.
