Verduno Pelaverga Doc 2025 reaches record production levels
The 2025 Verduno Pelaverga Doc has entered the market with record-breaking figures, according to the Consorzio di Tutela Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe e Dogliani. The vintage features 38 hectares of claimed vineyards, producing 2,058 hectoliters of wine with a potential yield of 274,345 bottles. These represent the highest values recorded in the official 2015-2025 series.
Production and bottling are also on the rise, with an 18% increase in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period the previous year. The production area encompasses the territory of Verduno in Cuneo, as well as parts of La Morra and Roddi. Currently, 25 companies are involved in production and bottling, 18 of which are members of the Associazione Verduno è Uno.
While the region is primarily known for Nebbiolo, the Pelaverga Piccolo grape has maintained its own identity within this specific viticultural area. The 2025 harvest saw an average yield of approximately 54 hectoliters per hectare, remaining below the maximum limit of 63 set by the official regulations.
