Vereinigung Cockpit elects Oliver Löwe as new Vice President

The pilot union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) has announced a change in its leadership circle. Katharina Dieseldorff, a Lufthansa pilot and the current Vice President, has stepped down from her position effective September 23, 2026, citing family reasons.

Oliver Löwe, a captain for Lufthansa Cargo and long-standing board member, has been elected as the new Vice President. Löwe, who previously managed member services, intends to shift the union’s focus toward political advocacy in Berlin and Brussels, as well as increased cooperation with international aviation associations.

Following this transition, Felix Kuhlmay, a Condor pilot who joined the board in July 2026, will take over the responsibility for member services. Andreas Pinheiro will remain as the President of the union, maintaining the organization’s current social and collective bargaining direction during a period of ongoing negotiations within the European aviation sector.
