Veria to host 8th Traditional Dance Festival in September 2026

The Municipality of Veria will host its 8th Traditional Dance Festival from September 9 to 11, 2026. The event features participation from various cultural associations located in Veria, Patra, and Thessaloniki.

The festival begins on Wednesday, September 9, with an opening ceremony at Clock Square (Platia Orologiou). The subsequent two days of programming will take place at Prometheus and the Jewish Cemetery. Each evening, the dance performances will be followed by folk celebrations featuring the orchestra ‘Goutzilika’ and the musical group ‘Pentagrammo’.

Organizers describe the festival as a significant cultural institution aimed at preserving and promoting musical and dance heritage while fostering connections between local communities and younger generations.
