Verisure unifies global brand and addresses security priorities
Verisure, the Swedish-origin security company formerly known as Securitas Direct in certain markets, is undergoing a global brand unification process. While many in Spain still associate the service with the Securitas Direct name, the company has been part of the Verisure group since 2006 and is now transitioning its identity across Europe and Latin America to maintain a coherent global brand.
In Argentina, consumer priorities regarding home security highlight a demand for both technological and human elements. A study by the Verisure Security Observatory indicates that 77% of people value systems that protect the home even when occupants are present, and 79% prioritize receiving alerts for detected movement. Notably, 53% of respondents prioritize human presence over purely technological systems, citing the need for immediate action and the trust established through human connection.
To address these needs, Verisure utilizes a model combining technology with professional monitoring through its Alarm Receiving Center. Their offerings include PreSense™ for risk anticipation and ZeroVision, which uses security fog to reduce visibility during confirmed intrusions, particularly during nighttime hours when most burglaries occur.
