Verity film trailer features Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson

Amazon MGM Studios has released the official trailer for ‘Verity’, a psychological thriller based on the bestselling novel by Colleen Hoover. Directed by Michael Showalter, the film stars Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett.

The plot follows Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson), a struggling writer who is hired to complete a book series for Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway), a famous author unable to work following an accident. While working at the Crawford family’s remote estate, Lowen discovers unsettling autobiographical notes written by Verity that reveal disturbing secrets about her marriage to Jeremy Crawford (Josh Hartnett).

The trailer highlights the tension as Lowen becomes increasingly entangled in the mysteries of the Crawford household, questioning the reality of Verity’s confessions. The film is distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing International and is scheduled for release in India on October 2, 2026.
