Verkfærasalan donates tools to Akureyri engineering department

Verkfærasalan has donated hand tools to the engineering department of the University of Akureyri (HA) and Reykjavik University (HR). The donation is intended to support the department's new practical facilities, enhancing hands-on teaching and student project work.

Industrial and energy engineering studies have been offered in Akureyri since autumn 2023 through a collaboration between HA and HR. Project manager Ólafur Jónsson noted that maintaining a dialogue with local industry helps align the curriculum with the needs of companies and the future tasks of graduates.
