Vermont Bakery Expands as Local Chef Moves to Boston

Mirabelles Bakery announced it will take over the full‑service Kitchen Table restaurant in Richmond, VT, and the Kitchen Table Market & Café in South Burlington. The bakery plans to open the new locations under a Mirabelles name by the end of September while continuing its existing takeout operation on Williston Road. The former Kitchen Table sites will close permanently on Aug. 3, after which Mirabelles will lease the spaces and expand its savory and bakery offerings.

Meanwhile, Burlington chef Micah Tavelli is leaving his role at Majestic to become executive chef of Ci Siamo Boston, a new Italian restaurant opening in Boston’s Seaport District under Union Square Hospitality Group. Tavelli’s last day at Majestic is Aug. 15; he will be succeeded by Dan Schloemer, his former sous chef. The move marks a high‑profile transition from Vermont’s food scene to a major city market.
