Vermont woman sentenced for aggravated domestic assault of infant

Taylor Grenier, 31, has been sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years of probation following a plea agreement for aggravated domestic assault. The sentencing follows an incident in August 2024 at the Bradford Motel in Vermont, where Grenier’s 11-month-old son sustained critical, non-accidental injuries.

While Grenier initially claimed the infant had fallen from a bed, medical professionals at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center identified injuries inconsistent with that account, including internal bleeding near the brain, spinal canal, and eyes. The child required a ventilator and treatment for seizures.

As part of the plea deal, a child cruelty charge was dismissed. The court has also ordered Grenier to undergo random drug testing and participate in mental health and substance abuse treatment.
