Vermut social network for seniors launches in Argentina

Vermut, a social network designed for individuals over the age of 55, has launched in Argentina. The platform aims to facilitate real-world connections through digital tools, allowing users to create profiles, find nearby contacts, exchange private messages, and organize in-person activities.

Co-founder Fernando Dellepiane noted that the service is currently in a pre-launch phase in Argentina, meaning there is not yet a formal community activation or a stable schedule of local events. This contrasts with the platform's more established presence in Spain. According to App Store data in Argentina, the average user age is approximately 65, with primary interests centered on culture, physical activity, and gastronomy.

Founded in Barcelona in 2020 by former Glovo employees Fernando Dellepiane and Enric Duran Vallès, the app seeks to use technology as a starting point for physical social engagement.
