Vernon Taekwon-Do athletes to compete in ITF World Cup
Four athletes from Sundance Taekwon-Do in Vernon are set to compete in the 2026 ITF World Cup in Benidorm, Spain, from September 28 to October 4. The competitors include Jack Sharkey, Jill Donald, Shawn Donald, and Ezekiel Richman.
Jack Sharkey, a veteran of international competition, previously placed fifth in patterns at the 2025 World Championships in Croatia. The event features a father-daughter pairing as Jill Donald competes alongside her father, Shawn Donald. The team is led by Master David White, a seventh-degree black belt and technical director of Sundance Taekwon-Do.
The World Cup will host 2,681 competitors from 57 different countries, with Canada providing the eighth-largest delegation of 100 athletes.
