Vernon, B.C. hosts Theatre BC’s Mainstage festival July 6‑10

The Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre will host the annual Mainstage drama festival from July 6 to July 10, 2026. Produced by Theatre BC, the event showcases five winning community‑theatre productions from the province’s eight zones, a tradition that began in 1932.

The lineup includes West Moon (Okanagan), Escaped Alone (Central Interior), Corker (Fraser Valley), Two Rooms (North Island) and Timepiece (South Island). Each evening’s performance is followed by a brief public adjudication, and the next morning a “Coffee Critique” discussion open to registrants and the public.
