Vernon entrepreneur Diane LaChance passes away at 82
Diane LaChance, a longtime Vernon businesswoman, died on June 14, 2026 at the age of 82. Born on April 4, 1944 in Vancouver, she was the mother of Cathy and Jason LaChance and grandmother to Faith, Tylor and Conrad.
LaChance owned and operated Encore, a women’s consignment clothing store that became a beloved fixture in Vernon, BC. For more than five decades she was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, fostering lasting friendships and community service. A celebration of life is scheduled for 2 p.m. on August 15, 2026 at Trinity United Church, 3300 Alexis Park Dr, Vernon, BC.
