Veroia restores two significant Ottoman-era monuments

Two significant Ottoman-era monuments in Veroia, the Twin Ottoman Bath (also known as Tuzlu Hamam or Alata Bath) and the Orta Mosque, have been restored and returned to the local community. The handover ceremony was led by the Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, who emphasized the city's historical continuity and its importance as a cultural landmark that spans from prehistoric times through the Ottoman period.

The Twin Ottoman Bath, dating back to the late 15th century, was restored using funding from the Public Investment Program. The restoration of the Orta Mosque was supported by the Recovery and Resilience Fund, including additional interventions to integrate the site into the public space. These sites are part of Veroia's broader cultural landscape, which includes 54 preserved monuments and two museums.
