Verona and Ispania advance new territorial and maritime planning proposals

In Verona, a new Territorial Planning Plan (Pat) is expected to be presented to the city council within months for adoption. Observers suggest that current administrators should look to the historical legacy of Michele Sanmicheli, a prominent 16th-century architect and urbanist. Sanmicheli’s work established the classical urban layout of Verona, integrating defensive structures with the natural landscape and shaping the city’s modern street axes and access points.

Meanwhile, in Ispania, local authorities presented the Implementation Plan for the Use of Maritime State Property (PAD) for the coastal area of Capitello. The proposal includes adding seven new concessions to the existing ten, while attempting to maintain spaces for free public beach use. However, the plan faced criticism from citizens, economic operators, and opposition councilors, who expressed a desire for more free beach space and improved services for tourists and residents.
