Verona bids to host the 2028 National Alpini Assembly

Verona has officially renewed its candidacy to host the 99th National Assembly of the Alpini (Adunata Nazionale degli Alpini) in May 2028. A technical commission from the National Alpini Association (ANA) is currently in the city conducting inspections to evaluate the feasibility of the proposal and verify the city's capacity to manage the event.

The assembly is a major gathering expected to attract approximately 600,000 people. The bid has received broad support from local institutions, economic sectors, and public services, including the Chamber of Commerce, VeronaFiere, and various hospitality and transport associations.

To support the candidacy, both the Municipality of Verona and the Veneto Region have pledged 800,000 euros each, which will be made available if the event is officially awarded to the city.
