Verona Pooth reflects on brief marriage to Dieter Bohlen

In a recent podcast, German TV presenter Verona Pooth reflected on her brief 1996 marriage to musician Dieter Bohlen. Pooth, who has been married to Franjo Pooth since 2004, spoke with self-irony about the spontaneous Las Vegas wedding, noting that she initially struggled to recall the exact date.

Pooth described the marriage as a “very, very crazy” and “funny time,” jokingly remarking, “I was young and needed the money,” when discussing the motivation behind the union. She referred to Bohlen by the nickname “Yeti” and noted that the couple had no prenuptial agreement, which she views as a sign of her significance to him at the time. The marriage lasted only four weeks before they separated, with an official divorce following in 1997.

Separately, reports indicate that Dieter Bohlen married his partner Carina Walz on December 31, 2025, following a relationship that began in 2006. The couple, who met in Mallorca, now resides in Tötensen near Hamburg.
