Veronica Petruț to launch book on Bistrița-Năsăud traditions

The book “Ținutul de Dincolo de Culmi. Tradiții și sărbători din Bistrița-Năsăud povestite copiilor” (The Land Beyond the Peaks. Traditions and holidays from Bistrița-Năsăud told to children), written and illustrated by Veronica Petruț, will be launched on October 24 at the Palace of Culture in Bistrița.

The volume features 40 stories and 40 original illustrations aimed at introducing children and adults to the cultural universe, customs, and rituals of rural communities in the county. The launch event will include an exhibition of Petruț’s original works and a concert by the band Transylmania, which blends traditional instruments with rock music.

Special guests include folklore performer Ioana Rusu Ardelean and storyteller Iosif Ciunterei. The project is managed by the ArtLink Collective Association with support from local cultural institutions in Bistrița-Năsăud.
