Veronica Verho named new host of Tanssii tähtien kanssa

Veronica Verho has been announced as the new host of the Finnish television program ‘Tanssii tähtien kanssa’ (Dancing with the Stars). Verho, a media personality who rose to fame via YouTube, will co-host the upcoming season alongside Ernest Lawson. The live broadcasts are scheduled to begin on September 6, 2026.

Verho previously participated as a contestant in the program in 2019. Her appointment follows the departure of long-time host Vappu Pimiä, who concluded her tenure last autumn.

The decision by MTV to delay the announcement of the new host has drawn criticism. Some commentators argue that the prolonged buildup regarding the hosting change overshadowed the dancers and the core essence of the competition, suggesting the network prioritized the presenter's identity over the participants.
