Veronika Fichtnerová finds new path through digital illustration

Veronika Fichtnerová, a 22-year-old from Liberec, has turned to digital illustration to navigate health complications and psychological challenges. After being forced to end her high school studies, she began creating digital art under the brand ‘Grafika od Veverky’.

Fichtnerová, who uses a wheelchair due to being born prematurely, found that digital tools like Procreate allow her to overcome physical limitations. She noted that while hand tremors make precise strokes difficult on paper, the digital environment enables her to correct errors and achieve the level of detail she desires.

Her work serves as both a creative outlet and a way to process personal grief, including the loss of a close friend. She is currently planning her first exhibition.
