Veronika Slowikowska gains Hollywood recognition

Canadian actress and comedian Veronika Slowikowska is gaining significant attention in the American entertainment industry. A recent appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ went viral after the host and audience sang the Polish birthday song ‘Sto lat’ to celebrate her birthday.

Slowikowska, who was born in Ontario to Polish immigrant parents, joined the cast of ‘Saturday Night Live’ for its 51st season. Her previous credits include appearances in ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ and ‘Poker Face’. She is also set to appear in the comedy ‘Stephanie, Bride to Be’ alongside Michael Imperioli and Amy Sedaris.

Despite her rising fame in the United States, Slowikowska maintains strong ties to her Polish heritage. She has noted in interviews that her household was Polish-speaking and that traditional foods like pierogi and gołąbki were staples of her upbringing.
