Verouleios Stadium to receive €800,000 for turf upgrade

The Municipality of Kavala has been identified as one of nine municipalities in Greece eligible to apply for €800,000 in funding to upgrade the Verouleios Stadium. The allocated funds are intended for the installation of new artificial turf.

According to Nikos Panagiotopoulos, the funding provision is part of an invitation from the Ministry of Interior following a commitment by Minister Thodoris Livanios. The next phase involves completing the necessary administrative procedures to secure the funding and integrate the project. The upgrade aims to provide modern and functional sports spaces for local athletes, clubs, and children.
