Verso Libre Festival opens in Cádiz with forum on AI and culture
The second edition of the Verso Libre Ibero-American Music and Literature Festival has opened in Cádiz, Spain. Held at the Antiguos Depósitos de Tabaco, the festival began with a professional forum titled ‘The Future of Culture’.
Under the theme ‘Atlántida: entre el verso, el cante y el mar’, the event brings together cultural institutions and creators to discuss the role of culture in society and the specific impact of artificial intelligence on creative processes. During the opening, Cádiz Mayor Bruno García emphasized culture as a vital tool for social cohesion in a polarized era.
Panel discussions have addressed the challenges of cultural financing and the necessity for institutions to remain active spaces that engage new audiences rather than functioning merely as museums.
