Vertigo Games announces Arizona Sunshine remake release date

Vertigo Games has announced that a third-person, non-VR remake of the zombie apocalypse title Arizona Sunshine will be released on January 21, 2027. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Unlike the original virtual reality title, this remake features flat-screen gameplay and includes both solo narrative modes and cooperative play, supporting both online sessions and split-screen. Players take on the role of Sunny, a survivor traveling through Arizona alongside a dog named Buddy.

The standard edition is priced at $24.99, while a deluxe edition is available for $29.99. The deluxe version includes the Legacy downloadable content pack, which features original campaigns and DLC from the VR version, as well as various cosmetic packs.
