Vertiv expands Irish operations to meet AI infrastructure demand
Vertiv, a provider of digital infrastructure solutions, has announced plans to expand its manufacturing and testing operations in Ireland and the North West to meet rising global demand for AI and data center infrastructure. The company intends to apply to the Donegal County Council for an additional 7,000 square meters of space at its Letterkenny facility, a move expected to create up to 300 new skilled jobs.
To address the technical challenges posed by AI and high-performance computing, Vertiv has introduced the Vertiv 360AI portfolio. This pre-designed infrastructure solution integrates power, cooling, cabinets, and digital management to streamline deployment. The company claims these solutions can reduce implementation time by up to 50% compared to typical installations, with initial models capable of supporting up to 100 kW per rack.
