Verucchio inaugurates Saint Francis art exhibition

The exhibition “L’arte racconta scene di vita di San Francesco” (Art tells scenes of the life of Saint Francis) has officially opened at the Church of Sant’Agostino in Verucchio. The event was inaugurated by Verucchio Mayor Lara Gobbi and Monsignor Domenico Beneventi, Bishop of the Diocese of San Marino-Montefeltro.

Part of the fourth edition of the “Francescanamente” initiative, the exhibition commemorates the 800th anniversary of the passing of Saint Francis. The display provides a visual narrative of the Saint's life between 1223 and 1226 through various media, including illustrated books, drawings, engravings, and testimonies dating from the 17th to the 20th century.

The exhibition is scheduled to remain open to the public until October 18, 2026. The initiative is organized with the support and patronage of the Municipality of Verucchio and the Dioceses of Rimini and San Marino-Montefeltro, in collaboration with the Association of Franciscan Paths in Emilia Romagna.
