Verucchio launches fundraising campaign to restore Rocca Malatestiana paintings
The municipality of Verucchio has launched a fundraising campaign via the Art Bonus program to restore three paintings from the Rocca Malatestiana collections. The initiative aims to raise 20,000 euros to preserve works currently held in storage.
The paintings are historical artifacts from museum displays created in the mid-20th century by Adalberto Pazzini. The works include ‘Madonna col Bambino’ by an anonymous Romagnolo artist (estimated 17th–19th century), ‘Martirio di San Pietro da Verona’ (attributed to an anonymous Romagnolo artist, 19th century), and ‘San Vincenzo Ferreri’ by Antonio Montanari, painted in 1840.
Donors, including citizens and businesses, can benefit from tax credits as provided by Italian law for supporting cultural heritage. The restoration project will be supervised by the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts, and Landscape for the provinces of Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena, and Rimini to ensure the conservation and eventual public display of the pieces.
