VeryDarkMan cleared of police impersonation in Nigeria
Social‑media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, announced that a Nigerian court has struck out the police‑impersonation charge against him for lack of evidence. The case, which began after he appeared in a video wearing a Nigeria Police uniform, was dismissed after about two years, and Otse said he was "honourably discharged and acquitted" on Instagram.
The Nigeria Police Force has since invited VeryDarkMan to formally submit his allegations against Assistant Inspector‑General Moshood Jimoh. Otse claims Jimoh colluded to frame businessman Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi in murder cases. Police spokesperson Ani Iniedu said the invitation shows the force’s commitment to investigate credible misconduct allegations, and that the matter is already before the courts.
