Veselí nad Lužnicí school builds modern ecological student dormitory

The Secondary Vocational School of Ecology and Foodstuffs in Veselí nad Lužnicí is constructing a modern student dormitory. The project, which began in the spring, is currently being connected to the existing school building.

The new facility will feature double rooms with private sanitary facilities, a clubroom, a study room, a kitchenette, and an elevator. It will also include offices for educators and underground garages for school vehicles.

A key feature of the building is its green roof, which is designed to serve as a natural classroom for botany lessons. The roof will be irrigated using rainwater collected in an underground reservoir from the existing school building. The plant selection for the roof was designed by the school's biology teachers to integrate the structure into the curriculum.
