Vřesová tire recycling plant secures technology contract and funding

A tire recycling plant in Vřesová, near Sokolov, Czech Republic, has reached a new development phase following the securing of full financing. The project, managed by the Czech-German joint venture SUAS reTire, has signed a contract with the German company Pyrum Innovations AG for the supply of key technology.

The agreement includes the delivery of three pyrolysis reactors and associated process technology, along with a central control system to integrate the various technological units. This marks a significant milestone for Pyrum Innovations, as it is the company’s first binding contract to supply a complete facility for an external site outside of its own production locations.

The facility is expected to have an annual capacity exceeding 22,000 tons of used tires. Construction work at the site has already commenced, and the plant is scheduled to be operational by spring 2028.
