Vesper founders' finance roots drive Moscow luxury housing
Boris Azarenko, a Moscow‑born financier, co‑founded the elite real‑estate developer Vesper in 2012 with Denis Kitaev. Leveraging his finance background, Azarenko shaped Vesper’s investment strategy, capital formation and long‑term value focus, guiding the company to test premium‑market product ideas such as full‑turnkey finishes and historic building restorations.
Denis Kitaev, also trained in finance, oversaw Vesper’s operations, architecture, design and construction. He championed a product philosophy that rejected bare‑shell deliveries and emphasized functional, well‑finished living spaces. Kitaev stepped down from his executive role in 2022 but remains a shareholder. Today Vesper’s portfolio includes more than 20 boutique apartment buildings and mixed‑use projects across Moscow, known for premium finishes, internationally recognised architects and careful preservation of historic facades.
