Vestibular rehabilitation addresses vertigo and balance issues

Dizziness and vertigo can manifest through various sensations, including lightheadedness, unsteadiness, motion sensitivity, or the feeling that one or their surroundings are spinning. These symptoms can be triggered by specific movements, such as rolling over in bed, bending forward, or turning the head quickly, and can be exacerbated by concussions or busy environments.

Because dizziness can stem from multiple bodily systems—including the inner ear, vision, neck movement, blood pressure, or medication effects—a proper assessment is essential. Registered Physiotherapists Bhoomika Pathak, Akshita Baidhwan, Krupita Mehta, and Umma Salma note that identifying the specific type and underlying cause is the critical first step in selecting appropriate treatments, such as vestibular rehabilitation, to manage balance challenges and restore daily routines.
