VetClaims.ai uses AI to assist veterans with disability claims
VetClaims.ai, founded by Purple Heart recipient and veteran Lukas Simianer, provides AI-assisted technology to help veterans prepare disability claims for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The company aims to address a significant bottleneck in the benefits system, where only 521 accredited claim agents serve approximately 19 million veterans.
The service utilizes AI to analyze medical records and claim data to expedite the process, followed by a mandatory human review to ensure accuracy. VetClaims.ai operates on a flat fee of $1,250, which the company notes is significantly lower than some other programs that may take 20% to 40% of a veteran’s back pay.
To date, the program has served over 50,000 veterans and reports completing claims in roughly half the time of traditional avenues, averaging 1.8 claim cycles. The company also claims to have created more than 400 jobs for veterans.
