Veterans Relay 2026 travels through Argeș County

The 13th edition of the Veterans Relay, organized by the Invictus România Association, is taking place across Romania from October 1 to 25, 2026. The national project features three symbolic routes—Blue, Yellow, and Red—representing the colors of the Romanian flag. Participants engage in running or cycling to honor veterans, fallen heroes, and wounded military personnel.

In the Argeș region, firefighters from ISU Argeș participated in the relay through Pitești to express solidarity and respect. The Blue route traversed the area, with participants traveling from Pitești through Făgetu, Mioveni, and Mateiaș. During the journey, participants stopped at the Heroes' Monument in Mioveni and the Mateiaș Heroes' Mausoleum to pay tribute. The event serves as a symbolic journey rather than a competition, focusing on remembrance and community engagement through visits to monuments and cemeteries.
