Vetralla elderly care project exceeds targets with 990,000 euro investment

The “La Casa ti Assiste” project in Vetralla has exceeded its initial goals, providing support to 115 non-self-sufficient elderly individuals. The initiative, part of the VT4 socio-sanitary district, involved a total investment of approximately 990,000 euros and delivered over 11,000 hours of home care.

Presented by municipal councilor Giulio Menegali Zelli Iacobuzi, the project aimed to promote autonomy and safety within the home, helping seniors remain in their own living environments rather than facing institutionalization. The program utilized personalized care paths, including home assistance, specialized aids, and domotic (smart home) solutions to meet the specific needs of patients and their families.

The project highlights the effectiveness of integrating social services, healthcare, and technology. Local authorities noted that the model demonstrates how proximity-based welfare can protect the dignity of the elderly while supporting family caregivers.
