Vetulonia's MuVet Museum Secures Regional Relevance Status

The Museo Civico Archeologico “Isidoro Falchi” (MuVet) in Vetulonia has had its three‑year “Museo di rilevanza regionale” qualification renewed by the Tuscany regional authority, effective from 8 August 2026. The museum achieved the maximum score of 80 points, ranking 37th among regional museums, and demonstrated full compliance with all standards after answering more than 300 verification questions covering collection management, conservation, communication, accessibility and community relations.

Mayor Elena Nappi praised the result as a significant achievement that reflects the museum’s ongoing commitment to professional stewardship of Vetulonia’s archaeological heritage and its collaborations with modern and contemporary art. The qualification, first granted in 2013, underscores the museum’s role as a leading cultural institution in Tuscany.
