VfB Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund prepare for Bundesliga clash

VfB Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund are set to face each other in a Bundesliga match at the MHPArena. The upcoming fixture features a Dortmund side that has secured nine points from three matches, while Stuttgart seeks to recover from a recent 1-2 loss against Hoffenheim.

In preparation for the match, VfB Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth confirmed that the club had previously expressed interest in Dortmund striker Fabio Silva. Silva, who moved to Dortmund from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2025 for approximately 22.5 million euros, has seen a strong start to the season, recording four goals and one assist in five competitive appearances.

While Dortmund enters the match with a perfect league record, recent performances have shown periods of non-dominance. Stuttgart, under coach Sebastian Hoeneß, has displayed offensive strength, including a hat-trick by Ermedin Demirović in Champions League play, but continues to face defensive challenges.
