VfL Bochum defeats Energie Cottbus in 2. Bundesliga comeback

VfL Bochum secured a 2:1 away victory against FC Energie Cottbus in a 2. Bundesliga match. Despite trailing 0:1 following a 21st-minute penalty by Tolcay Cigerci, Bochum managed to overturn the result in the second half.

Philipp Hofmann equalized in the 70th minute, and substitute Christian Rasmussen scored the winning goal in the 88th minute. The match featured several disallowed goals, including two strikes by Hofmann and a long-range effort by Justin Butler, all ruled out for offside.

The loss continues a difficult streak for Cottbus, who have surrendered a lead in five consecutive matches. This victory marks Bochum's first league win since early September.
