VfL Bochum suffers 0-1 home defeat against VfL Osnabrück

VfL Bochum suffered a 0-1 home defeat against VfL Osnabrück in their second home match of the season. Ismail Badjie scored for the visitors in the 5th minute, providing the decisive goal.

Despite controlling much of the game with 66 percent possession and recording 20 shots, Bochum struggled to convert opportunities into goals. A late attempt by Philipp Hofmann struck the crossbar in the 86th minute, failing to secure an equalizer.

Bochum coach Uwe Rösler expressed significant frustration following the match, describing the performance as an ‘earslap’. The loss marks a difficult start to the season for Bochum, who have now lost two of their first three league matches, including a previous 0-1 loss to Hertha BSC.
