Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt face Champions League qualification hurdles

In the third qualifying round of the UEFA Women's Champions League, VfL Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt have secured mixed results in their respective first-leg matches.

VfL Wolfsburg took a significant step toward the league phase by defeating Inter Milan 2-0 at home. Lara Prašnikar opened the scoring in the 42nd minute, and Camilla Küver added a second goal following a red card for Inter's Chiara Robustellini in the 49th minute. The return leg will be played in Italy.

Eintracht Frankfurt faced a more difficult start, playing to a 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain. Larissa Mühlhaus gave Frankfurt an early lead in the 4th minute, but Naomie Feller equalized for PSG in the 7th minute. Despite several late opportunities, including a double hit to the post by Hanna Bennison, Frankfurt could not secure a lead. The decisive second leg will take place in Paris on September 2.
