Alpha Deutschland celebrates 30 years of religious courses

Alpha Deutschland celebrated its 30th anniversary with a gathering in Frankfurt am Main. Since its introduction to Germany in 1996, the organization has hosted approximately 25,000 courses with over 400,000 participants.

During the anniversary event, which included over 300 attendees, Alpha pioneer Nicky Gumbel reflected on the global spread of the program, which began at London’s Holy Trinity Brompton Church. Tobias von Bernstorff, the association's first chairman, described the milestone as a stepping stone rather than a final goal.

The organization has set a new target to reach 1.5 million people in Germany by 2033 through its various course formats.
