VFS Global opens expanded visa centre in Lagos' Lekki district

VFS Global has opened a larger Joint Visa Application Centre (JVAC) at Purple Mall in Lekki, Lagos, operational from 2 March 2026. The new facility increases processing capacity, adds five premium lounges, enhanced security systems and ample parking to improve the experience for Nigerian applicants applying for visas to up to fifteen destination countries, including Canada, Australia, China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, Portugal, South Africa and several Schengen states.

Regional Head for Central & West Africa Prashant Kansara said the relocation reflects VFS Global’s commitment to meeting Nigeria’s growing outbound‑travel demand, noting that visa‑application volumes in the first half of 2026 remained at the same level as 2025 after a 51 % year‑on‑year increase in 2025. The company urges travellers to submit applications well in advance of travel dates.
