VFS Global warns against visa appointment scams
VFS Global has issued a warning regarding fraudulent attempts to sell visa appointments. The company emphasized that visa appointments are free of charge and must only be obtained through official VFS Global channels.
Applicants are cautioned against individuals or organizations claiming to guarantee appointments or positive visa outcomes in exchange for money. VFS Global clarified that its role is strictly limited to administrative processes, such as accepting applications, document management, and biometric procedures. The authority to evaluate applications and make final decisions rests solely with the relevant country’s diplomatic missions.
To prevent system abuse, the company has implemented several security measures, including blocking suspicious email domains, limiting appointments per email address, blocking unusual IP access, and restricting VPN usage. Additionally, VFS Global noted that while premium services are available, they are optional and do not influence the visa decision or processing speed.
