VHP chief Alok Kumar demands FIR against rumour‑mongering in Ram Temple embezzlement case

Vishva Hindu Parishad International President Alok Kumar urged police to lodge a First Information Report against anyone spreading "bizarre rumours" that gold and silver ornaments donated to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust have been stolen. He backed Trust Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, stating that all donated items are intact, and said the investigation should cover officials at all levels, not just eight individuals. Kumar called the alleged rumor‑mongering a crime under Section 353 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and asked Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to identify those responsible. He also criticised Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav for remarks on the temple town, arguing the party has historically opposed Hindu religious traditions.
