VHP criticizes Abdullah leaders over stranded Kashmiri pilgrims

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has questioned National Conference President Farooq Abdullah and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah regarding the safety of 34 Kashmiri pilgrims currently stranded in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The pilgrims, who traveled to perform Umrah, have been stuck for approximately 15 days following increased regional tensions caused by Houthi rebel drone and missile attacks.

VHP national spokesperson Vinod Bansal challenged the leaders to disclose what specific steps they have taken to ensure the pilgrims' safe return to India. Bansal questioned why the leaders had not written to Saudi Arabian authorities or appealed to Houthi rebels to facilitate the travelers' passage. The VHP further criticized the leaders' political stances, demanding they prioritize the welfare of the stranded citizens over political rhetoric.
