VHP criticizes Rahul Gandhi over RSS comments

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has accused Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi of suffering from ‘mental bankruptcy’ and ‘intellectual bankruptcy’ following his recent remarks regarding the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Gandhi described the RSS as an ‘all-male, anti-constitutional cult’ that believes women are the property of men. He stated that his political fight is motivated by his belief in ‘Shiva-Shakti’ and claimed that many women within the organization support his position.

VHP national spokesperson Vinod Bansal refuted these claims, stating that families and women actively participate in RSS events, including recent Vijayadashami celebrations. Bansal also accused Gandhi of hypocrisy for using religious terms for political purposes and questioned his silence regarding gender roles in other religious practices.
