VI Assembly of the Agenda 2030 Local Entities Network meets in Huesca

The VI Assembly of the Network of Local Entities of Agenda 2030 is currently taking place in Huesca, Spain. The forum, linked to the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), brings together municipal and institutional representatives to discuss sustainable development and the coherence of local policies.

Toni Pérez, president of the Diputación de Alicante, emphasized the importance of the network, which now includes 855 members representing over 68% of the Spanish population. Pérez advocated for ensuring that all local administrations, regardless of size or resources, can utilize the network to address social, economic, and territorial challenges through collective knowledge and innovation.

Additionally, José Manuel de Molina Bautista, councilor for Alhaurín de la Torre, participated in a panel regarding Local Voluntary Reports. These instruments are used to evaluate and communicate municipal progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The assembly also addresses multi-level governance, youth involvement, and innovation as drivers for sustainable transformation.
