Viña del Mar child hospitalized after cocaine consumption

A five-year-old child is hospitalized in reserved condition at the Gustavo Fricke Hospital in Viña del Mar, Chile, after consuming cocaine. Medical staff confirmed the presence of the drug after the child was admitted with seizures and intoxication.

Following the medical findings, the Investigative Police (PDI) and the Valparaíso Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigation that led to the flagrant arrest of the child's 48-year-old father in the Recreo sector. He was detained for less serious injuries in the context of domestic violence and has been placed at the disposal of the Viña del Mar Guarantee Court. The child is currently reported to be out of vital risk.
